1. Julian Foulkes – Arrested at 71 for a Social Media Post

Julian, a retired special constable, was arrested by six officers at his home after expressing concern about antisemitism in the UK on social media. He spent more than eight hours in custody. The arrest was later admitted to be an error—but not before his liberty and dignity were trampled on.▶ Kent Police later apologised, but the damage was done.

2. Maxie Allen and Rosalind Levine – Parents Arrested for WhatsApp Comments

A couple from London were arrested in front of their young daughter, held in a cell for 11 hours, because they made critical remarks about their daughter's school in a private WhatsApp group for parents.▶ This is no longer just about what you post publicly—now it's about what you say privately.

3. Tommy Robinson (Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) – Charged for Naming Journalists

Whatever one thinks of Tommy Robinson, his ongoing harassment case raises serious questions. Robinson is facing court for allegedly "causing distress" to journalists by naming them publicly and sharing details of their alleged conduct.▶ If naming your accusers or critics becomes illegal, due process itself is under threat.

These modern crackdowns on speech are unconstitutional, immoral, and illegal under the proper interpretation of the law. The fact that most people don’t know this is exactly why the ACA exists.
